I'll have photos by the end of the day. My 5.11 shipped months ago. I'm not into modern style kilts and this 5.11 is the first I've purchased. Today will be the first day wearing it for me. I'm headed to day two of the Seaside Highland Games.

Ah, I see... A bit of confusion on my part. 5.11 made more? Darn me for not posting here in a while. I though you guys were still waiting for the ones made in 2012.

OK, here we go. Mine arrived on Friday the 4th, too. Here's the Multicam(r) version:

The quality of construction looks just fine, comparable to the 2012 special edition.

ah so there are no pleats at the back
kinda makes them a skirt I'll see how it is when i get it but i may go for a tactical kilts one instead - similar price.

Technically, what you're looking at from the back is a huge box pleat. The pleating is, mmmm, idiosyncratic to say the least; but it's pretty comfortable to wear. Here's a look at last year's model with angle-brackets indicating the pleat direction.
Each side has two facing back, two facing forward, then the box pleat in back.

Sort of a "double reverse Kingussie," if you squint and hold your mouth just right.

My day out at a local festival before I went to the pub to celebrate their Oktoberfest. First time I ever wore a modern style kilt and it was ok. Just felt a bit different than the regular kilts. Now you have the picture!

Okay, guys so on FB today, I get a feed from 5.11 they have overstocked their 5.11 TDK's. Now I already have two; black and khaki. But they are such great kilts and what a price. I have just ordered a coyote, dark navy and Realtree camo. And I qualified for a free hoodie that can hide things.
