Matt,
My new dusky pink hose, and the cinnamon, arrived this morning, thank you. The dusky pink are almost cerise really, and go quite well with most of my modest array of kilts, while the cinnamon are a knockout with the Cameron of Erracht weathered. I didn't pull out all the tartan material I own that is waiting to be turned into kilts, but ...

Here's a pic of the kilt hose with my Federal Memorial tartan. Hose color is accurate on my monitor but the tartan is a bit lightened from the flash. I think they'd work together.

I know, I know, "images please, or you're making it up". As you may gather from my avatar image, I have a way to go in the image-posting area of my skillset. I hope to learn more later in the week. Patience!

Ian.
What do you need to know? Send me your email via PM and I'll gladly help you out.
Ron.
That's an interesting kilt pin idea on your federal, any chance of a close-up?
Matt.
Thanks for the link to House of Bruar. I do like the pink. I really like the "new navy". Tempted by both but she would kill me!! Should have been privvy to the agony I got for mee Argyle hose... "80 QUID? For a pair of socks!!! ARE YOU BLITHERIN' MAAAAD!!"
I think I might be.

Matt, thanks for the tip. I went ahead and ordered a pair directly from House of Bruar, including the hose ties...
I was quite keen to get these, as they seem to be very close to Pantone's Color of the Year for 2014, which is Radiant Orchid.

Aye, John, thanks.
And Ron has posted another recent thread that has different images, the rationale for the brassware, and who made them. Onya, Ron!

I think they would look great with some of your sunset pictures of the desert or canyons.
