I chose my name because many of my friends used to call me Grizzly Adams because of my sometimes long hair and beard. I also have a long time love of bears after being given a book on a polar bear cub when I was a small child.

My avatar is a pictures of me taken by my daughter in my back garden to show off a new kilt, jacket and sporran combo.

My signature, apart from the obvious regarding clan association is the Gaelic war cry of the Cameron Clan and it says " sons of hounds, come hither and get flesh"

    Hello,
My screen name stems from baldness. I lost most of my hair in High School and by the time I was discharged from my first tour, I was rockin' a comb over.
That lasted a matter of months when I began shaving it all off. My Grandfather (RIP) and Father, bless them both, sport the Patrick Stewart. I just can't get with that.

My avatars are the tartans most important in our family. We were all raised Donnachaidh. My Grandmother made sure we respected the men whom married her Robertson cousins, subsequently emigrating to the family farms in Upstate New York: Hunter, MacInally, Stewart, Kidd. The Liddell was designed specifically for our lowlanders and the Culloden is for my Great Grandfather: Born in Cleish, Kinross to a family from Methven, Perthshire; Royal Navy Veteran; Aitken Collier retiree; impetus by which our emigration began; always very respectful of my Great Grandmother's Highland Robertson "attitudes". According to my Aunt, when my Great Grandparents went north to visit the Robertson's in Blairgowrie, he liked to walk the Miekleour Beech Hedges and the Culloden '45-'46 significance was not lost on him.

My signature ebbs. Currently not using one.

My screen name is my own name, just not the one I happen to use every day. I use it to honour my late mother, whose name it was also.

My avatar is an image I stumbled across on a newspaper website. It speaks to my love of dogs (any and all types) and my latest BFF, Gunner who was a 25th wedding anniversary present from my Number 1 BFF, my husband Colin.

My s/n is one I use for many fora. It's a combination of Eagle Scout - which I earned in 1985 - and my initials. It's also part of my personal email address (I use a separate email address for business/job search).

My sig: simply my first name. I've thought about adding more, but haven't decided what I would add.

My avatar: the Scott Red Modern tartan, as I am a member of the Clan Scott Society.

Lorna I am glad you posted a bigger picture of your avatar, I have often thought it looks like a west highland white terrier, but in cloud formation.

My screen name "Scout" refers to my US Army career as a Cavalry Scout and Armored Cavalry Officer.

My avatar is the crest from my (assumed) COA and is likewise a reference to my Cavalry service and that of my ancestors. (Upon a wreath or and gules a dexter arm embowed vested azure the hand in a buckskin gauntlet grasping a cavalry saber proper)

My signature: is my name followed by "Riamh Nar Dhruid O Spairn Lann," the motto from the flag of the Civil War era 69th New York Infantry Regiment, part of the famed Irish Brigade. One of the Regiment's commanders during the war was an ancestor. It translates: "Who never retreats from the clash of spears"

Bill was already taken so I used the other half of "William" - Liam.
My current avatar is a "Christmas" theme - wearing my Clan Claus kilt of course.
My signature is an A.A. Milne quote which I happen to like, along with all of the Winnie the Pooh stories from my childhood.
"Good judgement comes from experience, and experience
well, that comes from poor judgement."
    A. A. Milne

I've cunningly used my first name and the initial of my surname ;)

My avatar is a piece of Lochcarron Strome tartan - Ancient Hunting Robertson and a sterling silver Alexander Ritchie designed "Prioress Anna" brooch that has entered service as my kilt pin, bought for me by my lovely wife on Iona this year.

My signature includes a very short extract from one of Bren's little rambles. It really made me chuckle and I thought it very appropriate for this forum as well.

My username is, of course, my own name. Only because "The Dark Cosmic Overlord of Rock and Roll" had already been taken.

My avatar is my own coat of arms - not my Chief's or any Clan arms, but mine.

My signature is in fact my campaign ribbons. For the longest time I denied ever having been in the Forces. But I have finally come to terms with what I saw and what I did then and am no longer ashamed. I am now proud of having served, so I display my medal ribbons.
