Casey,
I absolutely understand. I may at times jump to conclusions. It is odvious that his clothes are set out for him, I mean, he cheats on Diana with that old one so he can't be trusted to pick a kilt for something as important as D-Day Memorials.
As my friends and I toasted some years back....
Raise your glass, drink up Chuck and Di...

Charles............bah humbug! The only thing he has going in his favour is that he was the Royal sperm donor for Princess Diana's children.

I had a thought. Dangerous I know.
Maybe all of our UK members should lobby their MP's for legislation to make it mandatory for the royal family males to wear kilts.

I am too much of a Royalist to enter deeply into this thread but, Xcop, I HAVE to agree with you. I have met HRH several times and knew the lovely Princess Diana very well. I shall never forgive him for the way he treated her and I earnestly hope and pray that the Accession, when it comes, skips a generation.

Oh, and by the way, I can assure you that HRH DOES have a say in what he wears - although his valet will offer advice on occasion.

Hamish, not being a subject perhaps I shouldn't say anything, but, honestly, I feel sorry for Her Majesty having to deal with Charles and the rest. Spoiled brats generally. I couldn't agree with you more that it should skip a generation.

Hamish I agree with you 100% on what you said. I met the prince when he came last to Australia and spoke briefly with him, that was well before Diana died, I respect his position/title but am against what he has done.
I'm also a Royalist at heart and hope Australia never becomes a republic.

Thank you Graham. Those words bring a lump to my throat.

Hamish,
Believe it or not I really am a Royalist. However individual personal respect has be be earned, and Charles has lost my respect. I had the honor of guarding HM several times, it was one of the highlights of my RCMP career.

Gentleman, I can not enter too far into this. Being born and bred in the Lone Star State we (general statement) tend to go with the idea of a more independant nature and it is hard to relate to a Royalist idea.
I appreciate the dialogue as it gives me a better look into other ways of life.
As kilt related, maybe William needs to go back to school and learn alittle more about the history and cultures he may one day have the service of ruling over. At this he might develop a respect for the kilt and the history and people it has come to represent.
