    I wonder if it is possible to have a flash effect while walking with this tartan? Has anybody a thought on this?

    You could probably pleat to the green block just right of the white stripes and get some flash that way. Or the blue just right of the red, but that wouldn't flash so much as reveal, with the red being darker.

    It would certainly depend on the pleating. For my kilts (post #20 on page 2 of this thread), the Seaforth military hangs almost completely white when standing, so the dark background flashes in motion (not sure how much, don't have eyes in the back of my head! ).

    I don't think the budget PV Modern would do anything sensible because of the compromises made to achieve the "half set" or whatever you like to call it.
