He still tries that. If you look at the men's section of his website, you'll find the skirts for men, which are quite tacky, in my opinion. I think he might have designed the long skirt thing at the Dressed to Kilt event.

Lets face it, most of us are fairly conservative types so of course we wouldn't be caught dead in his designs. It's kilts for us in masculine colors and fabrics, not the swish/flash of that other stuff.

I'm afraid not, Rufus. All the men's outfits worn on the catwalk at "Dressed to Kilt" in NYC (including the long, full-length kilts) were designed by Howie Nicholsby of "TFCK" in Edinburgh.
The black full-length kilt was designed by Howie for himself - to wear whilst clubbing - and he has since sold quite a few of them to 'early twenty somethings' for much the same use. A couple of years ago, I tried on that very black kilt for a few minutes, and I have to say it was wonderful to wear. I am, however, too old to ever wear such a thing in public ..... I mean, I have never even BEEN clubbing!

Hamish if you ever WANT to go clubbing I'll drive and Sarah will dance with you.
Personally I like the drift in a thread it feels more vibrant.
And did I not say get a proper bike, my old FZ for example, I have a picture of her doing 70mph in 3rd on the back wheel, the front being 3ft in the air.
Aaaaagh happy days, now wrap me up in a nice warm blanket and wake me up when it's safe...
Cheers Rhino

I stand corrected! Thanks Hamish. I didn't realize that Howie had designed all of the kilts for the show. He must be one heck of a busy and inventive guy!
Also, I'm completely shocked and mystified that you've never been out clubbing! :o I could have easily pictured you clubbing at some place like the Psychadelic Pussycat Swingers Club from Austin Powers. You'll have to take Rhino up on the offer, just so you can say that you've been clubbing.

So kilts have to be some of the coolest clothes around, right?

Oh, if only we were geographically closer, Rhino! I'd LOVE to go Clubbing, but I've never had the nerve to go on my own - and now..... well, I don't think it would be 'seemly' for a guy of my age to go bopping about in public, even if 99.9% of those around him are doing it.
I frequently bop in the privacy of my own home, however!

Clubbing sounds violent to me, is that what they do to baby seals?
The other kind of club I've not been to in thirty years. In fact I only rarely go to a pub. However, soon smoking will be banned in pubs in Tasmania (like they've done in Ireland) and then I shall be more inclined to visit a pub.
