I must say that I've learned a lot form you (plus, you wear the kilt so well) and from your many posts, I've come to feel like we are old friends (well, at least, I'm old).

Simon Fraser fought as MacShimidh, a Highland chief… wrapped and belted in a plaid over the top of his linen shirt, like his ordinary kinsmen. He put a bonnet on his head, and stuck the Fraser emblem, a sprig of yew, in it. With the battle cry, A'Chaisteal Dhunaidh and the scream of the pipes, they charged to battle. The interesting question is how many chemicals are involved in drafting Canadian Chinese martial arts musical themes?
The "Beefeater" hat was just a rental, but perhaps some Renny will take your advice
As for chemicals in the music of Chinese martial arts—Canadian or otherwise—it's mostly blood, sweat, and tears...

Did I not mention kung fu? I was remiss! That book sounds interesting... I used to practice Aikido and quite enjoyed the philosophy.

Congratulations
Many congratulations. No easy task. You probably spent many months thinking it would never be completed. It takes a lot of persistence and dogged determinations as well as brain-power.

Well done! I know first-hand the time, effort, frustration, procrastination, and joy of this process. And for all the good-natured ribbing about our degree, just remember our kind (Ph.D.) had the title of "Doctor" first, before those highly trained barbers decided to assume it, too!

Ah, excellent! A hearty congratulations! Now, your uniform is smoking pipes and tweed jackets with leather elbow patches.
