I'm ready to commit to enough WOB Carolina tartan for an eight yards knife pleated kilt and a waistcoat...with lapels.
Thanks again,

The other factor for me is that I prefer a selevedge rather than a tuck edge.
Based on single and double width, what is the interest?
I prefer double width and a true selvedge.

As aforesaid, double-width, true selvedge. I'd prefer Dalgliseh to weave it, but if another weaver is less expensive, I'd vote for the less expensive.

Unfortunately Dalgliesh no longer weave double width with a selvedge, as opposed to a tuck-edge which is not a selvedge in the true meaning of the term.

Peter,
Of the Scottish mills that weave with a true selvedge, will any do double width? And if so, what would be the price per meter?

Certainly Eliots will, I'm not sure about Lochcarron any more. I will check and report back with the current price too.
