My only points was that Utilikilts are a late 20th/early 21st century Pacific Northwest USA invention and look anachronistic to the Victorian period.
A very close analogy would be wearing a tie-dye t-shirt, 1970s big-frame glasses, multicoloured afro wig, and chain with a big Peace Sign pendant around your neck.
It's a look for sure! But it isn't of the Victorian era.
For sure I realize that at Cons blending different genres is a thing, like the group of young women, each costume being a unique blend between one Disney Princess and one Game Of Thrones character.
I could imagine seeing a group of Pacific Northwest Steampunkers, it would be cool.
I've considered doing a kilted Dr Henry Walton Jones Sr.
