Oh no! We are not having to muster the SAS are we? This august body of souls are not to be confused with that intrepid bunch based in Hereford UK, but nevertheless the Scarf Acquisition Squad(previously known as "The Gin and Tonics") are still reckoned, by those what know, to be a force not to be trifled with. So, come on where is it? Or, are we having to pop over and recover it? Do you really want that? "We" could be ready to deploy in ooooh , well , in a month, or four, from now, if push comes to shove.

Okay...this is getting on my nerves....will the last person who sent it on at least get on here and give us some idea of where it went and will the recipient let us know if they actually received it or if it's lost out there in postal-land. Having been in the "chain of custody" of the scarf this time around, I understand how things can happen....I had to face the dilemma of either hanging on to the scarf a few extra days or have it in transit on St. David's Day...a no-brainer but it did add a couple of days to the journey. I understand how things can get in the way BUT let's get on the stick here, folks....somebody has to be able to let us know what went wrong.
Best

NSpiper has not been on the forum since he advised that he had sent the scarf on 22 July. I have contacted the only other Canadian (thought he would have been a monty to be getting the scarf next) on the list and he has not heard from NSpiper.
There are no contact details outside of PM's on NSpipers's profile page, so until he logs in again, we have to wait it out.

I apologize for having missed this latest development until now. I am the one who sent it on to NSpiper who had been active on the forum. I know he received it in a matter of a few days. I will check my correspondence to try and see if I can get in touch with him.
This is very disturbing to me to say the least.
PM sent to Derek

I am sorry I have not seen this before now, I have been doing some travelling. The scarf was sent over a month ago, I can't believe how long it is taking. I sent the scarf to The Kilted Hampster (Washington State) and have sent a pm to see if there are any updates. I will see what information I can get on my end and update as soon as possible. Sorry about this chaps.

I'm just going to be a jerk here, because it needs to be said.
Brilliant. Get your name on the list for the scarf and then when it arrives, don't even bother to take or post pictures, or let folks know that you have it. It's not just one person, there have been several people doing stuff like this, in the middle of what is really a wonderful series of little photo essays..
This is just NOT that difficult ladies and gentlemen. You put your name on the list. The scarf arrives. You GET ON THE FORUM TO ACKNOWLEDGE THAT YOU HAVE IT...and then
wow, what a concept.... you actually take the scarf out and around where you live and TAKE SOME PICTURES. You post them on X Marks.
Then you send the scarf on to the next person and tell Derek who it is.
I mean...come on. This is NOT that hard. If you plan to not log on to X Marks for months at a time, then what are you doing signing up for the stupid scarf, in the first place?
