Kilt night
OK, I'm a newbie (first post) but have had my eyes on a kilt since my first visit to the games in Estes about 10 yrs ago. Finally got it a year ago. Now, I hear about a great place to wear it but it's up in Denver (not that big a deal) on a week night. I'd get back down here just in time to get up and go to work the next morning. Oh well, guess I'll have to hope for a weekend kilt night have one for me

Livingston,
WELCOME!
I have gone to the Erin Inn on Dublin & Academy while kilted. Great place perhaps sometime others and my schedule can work out, and we can meet you there.
Miah lives in Pueblo, so there are a number of kilties on the Front Range.

Tomorrow night at 1900 hours, guys-I'll be there.
Bryan...can't decide if I want to hoist one or sip one (decisions, decisions)...

A big breeze blew in, temperature dropped fast, snow started to pelt the area, but alas the ones that were there had a great time. Bryan (flyv65), Jamie (a friend from the coffee shop) and myself all had a great time. We did have several cancellations because of various and asundry things BTW Dave, I hope that your back is better.
We are definetly going to do it again!

Nope, no pics, I forgot the bloody camera. I do believe we were undone by the weather-there was a cruel wind blowing in from the north that brought (at various times) rain, snow and sleet. I-70 was closed from Vail pass to Floyd Hill much of the night, although we only got about 3 inches in the back yard. This morning, there doesn'tr seem to be *any* snow on the ground intown to speak of.
Still, a good time was had; I truly enjoyed putting a few faces to names on the list, and sampling the Boddington's Pub Ale on tap. We just need to avoid snowstorms in the future to drive up the attendance a bit.
Bryan...got two complements on the way to the pub last night...

I'm starting to think that the possibility of a proper kilt night here in Chicago is so unlikely (let's face it...looks like maybe two or three of us would show up!) that it might be better to find a cheap airfare to Denver, arrive just before the festivities start, attend, meet some of you lads, hoist a few and then schedule the flight back for as close to closing time as possible, fly back to Chicago, pour myself into a cab and come home and sleep for the next day....or two.

...Or spend the night here. I can think of 6 Irish/Anglo/Celtic pubs within walking distance of the Courtyard hotel on the 16th Street Mall. I bet they even run a shuttle out to DIA for guests.
