I was just at "The Scottish Merchant" in Alexandria picking up a couple of pair of kilt socks (since the ones from Hector Russell will be a few weeks because of a delay in their arrival from Scotland) and I noticed that they too had solid wool ties, and also by Lochcarron (as in the post below).
