My next kilt is XMarks tartan to be made by Barb when the 2nd run phase II is done. I'm really excited
I stop by the HQ of Utilikilts on Monday looking for a new belt. They have a "scratched and dented" (inexpensive) belt section besides new ones. No belt in my size that "fit me" but I almost walked out with a new UK...a blue cord Original or maybe it was going to be the postal blue Original or maybe the sage Survival....I took a few deep breaths turned and left empty handed.
Cheers,

Hoping my first kilt ... a brown Amerikilt ... will arrive today!
After that, I have my heart set on a full Prince Charlie outfit with a Ross tartan traditional 8-yard kilt.
Eventually, I would like to add a kilt in the Ross Hunting tartan (dark green/black with safety orange overstripe!). Of course that will require an Argyll jacket for "day" wear!

Smaughy ,
I have a box pleat from Matt in the Carolina Tartan. Trust me you'll love it. Pictures just do not do that tartan justice.

When my plastic cools, have my eyes on another tank from Kathy's Kilts. This the 1005 Scott, which is a green, red, black, white tartan. Know the Scotts were borderers but want a tartan to honor that maternal line. Its my mother's middle name, goes back to the War of 1812. That service got them land which put them near the folks they needed to marry to make kids that made me.
Do already have three on order with USA Kilts. A mill delay on my Macdonald semi-traditional for a couple months now, and a mere four week jones on two casuals, Gordon and Buccleuch...
If I've lost count of my kilts does that make me an addict???

X Marks box-pleated from Matt, in progress (Rob and Dee and behind me in the queue ! Or, at least, Matt got my cloth first ...)
Sackett box-pleated, first of its kind, also Matt's handiwork - another six to ten weeks wait from the mill, then Matt's work time - some time in October on the outside. This is a long-term jones.
BUT - I may take the addiction to the next level before either of these arrive, and make my own kilt. Barb's book is already purchased, I know where to get the material I want at a good price, I have the strapping but need the buckles ...

I have 6 metres of 14 oz MacKenzie Morgan I want to have made into a 5 yard casual kilt. After that, the 16 oz Weathered MacKenzie is the only other one on the radar for right now.
