For what it is worth, I was at Origins Game Expo this weekend, and met a guy why is part of a kilted revolutionary war reenactment group. I made the mistake of asking (based on this thread) and got 10 min on, "Yes there were kilted soldiers then." Take it for what you will. I did tell the guy about x-marks and this thread, maybe he'll show up.
