Welcome from sunny Florida! You'll get used to wearing the kilt in no time.

Hamish, thanks so much for the Palm Springs invite. Unfortunately, I have a lot going on that weekend, so I don't think I'll be able to make it. But I am hoping to get to Britain next summer to investigate some more of my roots, so perhaps I can make it down to Sussex.
Blessings.

That's a shame, Bernie, but those of us who make it will understand.
If you DO get over here next year, be sure to let me know.

Wow, I'm, new here and I live in Pasadena part time and fresno part time, and was wondering if there was anyone in either place, and this thread has one in each! cool! I'm looking forward to developing some kilted frineds. I built by boyfriend a kilt, but he hasn't worn it yet. Oh well, soon hopefully
Cheers
Chris

Wear It Everywhere And Wear It Often!
If you ever go shopping at Bristol Farms in South Pas late and Saturday morning (and wearing your kilt) you will not be the only one in the store wearing a kilt. I always wear either my UK or my Union kilt while running around town on Saturday. I have never heard a negative comment. Most of the real positive comments come from women. On one Saturday I ran into a lady (or should I saw she ran into me) from Scotland and I thought she was going to faint - reminded her "of home."
You might find it interesting to visit the liquor store on the corner of Washington and Allen in Pasadena. The entire back wall is dedicated to whiskey from every distillery in Scotland. It makes the heart skip a few beats just looking at it. Sampling is highly recommended.
