The Tinkers, especially Aaron Shaw, always give props to the Persians in piping development. We have a local belly dancing troupe here and one of the more popular events at our Celtic Festival is when the Tinkers invite them up on stage and play a few tunes for them. It is pretty cool to see the different cultures intertwined like that...although my partner doubts my interest in culture is why I never miss that show.
