Can anyone tell me anything about the Kilt Nights in the Bay Area? Any excuse to wear the Kilt & drink sounds great.

Lots of info here and you can read updates like this one on the kilt night sub-forum. I'd like to get an occasional San Francisco get together started, but still trying to figure out a good night, and gauging interest.

In a nutshell: The Devil's Canyon Microbrewery in Belmont California is open to the public on the last Friday night of each month. They have great beer, varying food vendors, and a couple of bands. The place is kid friendly and the generally atmosphere is like a big party. The Bay Area Kilted have adopted it as our monthly hangout (though we sometimes get together for other occassions.)

I think you answered your own question there. If you need an excuse to wear the kilt and go to the pub, then you already have it.

here is my reasoning.

1. I don't go to the pub ( or meet up with friends/ get a dram/ go outside/ wake up...) without a kilt on.

2. i won't put a kilt on unless I am going to the pub ( or meeting up with friends/ getting a dram/ going outside/awake...)

3. If you got this far without a kilt and a (insert activity from #2), then you are already too drunk. Flag down a lassie in a mini-kilt to help you home.

I'm jumping in a little late here but... Welcome from Ontario Canada. I hope you enjoy the group. You'll no doubt gather alot of information about kilts in a short period of time here. Think of it as AKG - "accelerated kilt growth".
