I can't let the unit down. Put me down for a semi-traditional.

And so weird that my great great grandfather and your great grandfather met in combat on opposite sides near Washington D.C.
Glad they didn't shoot each other or neither of us would be here wearing kilts!
And, for some reason that coincidence brings to mind my being in Washington D.C. as a civilian during the Veteran's riots when there were sandbagged machine gun emplacements on street corners, tanks roaming the streets, and tear gas in the air. So weird when it happened in our own nation's capital.
Sorry, don't mean to drift of track...just a memory.

Funny you should mention that event
I was just back from Vietnam; assigned to the 1st Bn. 3rd Inf (the Old Guard) and was one of those guys that was supposed to shoot my Brothers in Arms if things went bad.Spent 3 days hold up on the 3rd floor of the Treasury Building ready to pop up on the White House lawn through a secret tunnel.
That will do a REAL number on your head, But it did give Me A GREAT REASON TO INDULGE IN SINGLE MALT
Those were not the best of times for this country and I hope that we never have to live through anything like it again.
I'm glad that I didn't have to find out if I would do as ordered.
I'm an 18th century guy born into the 20th century and have been dragged kicking and screaming into the 21st century.

Sorry I'm late
Sorry, I just now caught up to this thread. I know it is past deadline, but I would happily commit to a casual in the US Army tartan if that would help at this point.

P.S.actually I would happily commit to a casual Army even if you already have enough for the order!

OK, it looks like the KY tartan is out, so I'm definitely in for a semi trad.

Just a bump. I know I was waffling, but now that I've comitted, I'd hate be not get the Army Tartan right after I missed my chance at the KY one (the two tartans I want most at the moment).
So come on guys, still need 7 more to jine up.

So far, we're up to 12 (with Aggrowcow and KCW committing). We need 3 more DEFINITE Yes's by Jan. 15 to go ahead with it. If we DON'T get them, then we'll hold off on the order and MAYBE re-try it in the summer.
I am going to be a "stickler" about the minimum of 15... Kelly and I have so many other irons in the fire right now (read that as "money we're spending on other things as a company") that we at LEAST need to cover the material cost (which 15 kilts would do).
If you're on the fence, now's the time to decide!
If we DO make the 15 mark, I'll be PM'ing and/or calling each of you to get your order info. If I can't reach all of you by the 20th, then the order may not be complete and we'd hold everyone's off until summer (if we do it again).
Sorry if this sounds strict or mean... it's not meant to sound that way. I'm just trying to set realistic expectations and let everyone know exactly where we sit at all times.
Questions... let me know!

It looks like we have 15. I'll PM everyone to call me with their details so I can get the order going. If I can't reach everyone by the 20th, the order will be suspended. I won't charge everyone's card until I get 15 PM's and phone calls with confirmation.

OK Guys... looks like we're closing in on the home stretch. I'm now just waiting on BINX and KCW's orders...
I know KCW is traveling and will get in touch soon.
