I've worn my Stillwater Blackwatch and my camo kilt to work. The owner of the tool shop I work at came over and got a big kick outta it. I figure I'll wear one at least once a week from now on. I just wear my Black Watch with my
boots and a hoody as a punk-ish look.

Wore mine several times to school when I was studying for my MBA. Found quite a few undercover Celts, most were favorably impressed. The biggest problem I had was with the younger women. For some strange reason they had to keep trying to look up the kilt-a few went for a grab. Guess it was adolescent nonsense as these were undergrads. Presented my thesis in it, believe the kilt distracted the audience enough so that I didn't get hit that hard with questions.

Yes it does Grant. Most times I don't bother, I just wear the kilt. If I'm on a busy street walking up and down a plank them I'll wear shorts (reluctantly...I joke with customers that if I have to wear shorts it will cost them extra).

Congratulations - 'tis a noble thing to make your employees take notice 'o the boss from time to time (show you're not exactly as they had previously assumed)!

BCH- I want a job! Diebold says absolutely NO kilts at work. They are distractive in the work place. I don't know about that, I only see about 125 women a day. Do you honestly think the power of the kilt could overwhelm them???

I work for a large financial printer, I am at work right now and I am wearing a kilt. You might want to look into the company dress code, to see if there is anything there about it being frowned upon, if you really want to wear a kilt to work, who knows you could be dealing with a manager's bias only, and not the company policy.

I'm now looking at another SWK just to have several to rotate during the work week. I've got three daughters, who at first would fein disgust at the sight of their old man in a skirt, but they've now grown OK and even proud of it. In fact, one now wants a full kilted wedding (hopefully a looooong time from now). This kilt wearing can be downright habit forming!
