Do you know anyone at that airport? Does anyone there go to your church? Let the machine blow your kilt up, and give the airport a show. Take a hot shower before you leave for the airport to relax your muscles a little. I have been traveling internationally for sevearal years now, and all I ever get is wanded. I make funny noises when I get searched and it usually embarasses the young nieve TSA person. Then again, I did get felt up by a guy in an Iraqi airport...so maybe you don't want to be too friendly.

"if anything happened you'd be risking an indecent exposure charge, it might be a good idea not to go regimental"
I disagree with the above quote, and agree with elitekiltedcommando.
Court scenario: Ok, judge, we've charged this guy for exposing himself, when we lifted his kilt by blowing air up under his kilt.
True Story and posted elsewhere at XMarks: As I was returning to the HAL Maasdam this past February, the security officer wanded me, and asked me what I had under my kilt. I said, "Nothing." He repeated his question, so I lifted it for all to see. He seemed embarrassed, but his fellow officers were trying not to smile. ;)
Actually, the puff of air, wouldn't lift even the lightest of kilts, not even my lightest SK; It's just a light puff of air designed to dislodge bomb-making chemical particles from the body.
Air Puffer Portal - Airport Security
"The explosive detection trace portal, ...is designed to detect trace chemicals or materials traditionally used in bomb making.
The computer analyzes particles in the air (strong puff of air dislodges them) and produces a print out for security to read on a computer. Only 18 airports currently use this system, at a cost of over $160 000 its not an hard guess to why more airports do not use them."
