Docs is an abbreviated form of Dr. Martens, most commonly seen as boots, although they do make shoes, and even sandals.

I have three pair of Doc boots (incl. cherry), and shoes. In hot weather I wear my yellow Chuck Taylor high tops.

I usually wear my 10-eye steel toed docs with my kilt... either that or my Adidas Sambas with black crew socks... it gives me that "soccer hooligan" look...

Whoa! Doc's makin' sandals! I may have to get a pair, and see if they're as comfy as Birks... Birkenstock used to make some I really liked, but they've lately gone back to just the boring models.

Mostly I just wear solid black hiking boots with the hose folded at the top then scrunched down for casual wear.
