There used to be a character in a Scottish comic, Beano/Victor/Valiant, modeled on Rob Roy. He carried tons of sgian dubhs and had an eagle helping him.
In my memory, I liked the stories.
Not super, just great.

The NAME of Batman's alter ego (most fans know that Batman IS the "real" person, while "Bruce Wayne" died the same night as his parents) is based upon:
Robert the Bruce (of Scottish Wars of Independence fame)
"Mad" Anthony Wayne (of American War of Independence fame)
