I married someone with a sense of humour even if she doesn't like kilts. She'd ask "was your ex as pretty as me?" I responded "Yes, and so will my next wife be and younger too" . Yes I have stones, she keeps them in a little box in her nightstand .

Some women just get this weird thing about weddings - like everything has to be perfect, unique, wonderful - they put so much effort into it, they lose weight, they make everyone involved want to throttle them.
Usually they have a gazzillion photos taken, by two if not three professional photographers, and put their future financial stability at stake by spending money like water. I think they are known in the wedding trade as Bridezillas.
Maybe it is nerves, maybe it is a form of insanity.
I certainly can't explain it.
I notice - it's too late to quote - 'its not a jelousy thing' - ah, now - well - you know that thing about men never being right?

You say she is 3000 miles away as if that will have any effect on a woman who is already admittedly not acting rational.
And remember, if she ever asks how many women you slept with, the correct answer is the age you were when you started dating, divided by four. (20 y/o = 5) If you have to round, round down.

Get real, fellas!
Alright, enough of that! How many of us could get by without our loving wives? I sure couldn't!!
Our dear friend K.O.G. should accept that he's going to be the happiest guy on the planet once he's married to his dear fiance, but he's got some learning to do. I've been happily married for 8-1/2 years, and even in my short experience as a married man I've learned a few things.
So let's turn this event around for our our dear friend K.O.G.
Lesse how we can work this...
AH HA!!
Follow along here...
- You're a devoted kilt wearer, right?
- Your fiance digs that, right?
- You getting married in a kilt? (correct answer is YES)
- Getting married in a kilt you already own?
- I'm willing to bet that the tartan you already own is also already owned by someone on this website. That someone has - or will - post pictures of his kilt.
- That same someone has - or will - post pictures of his kilt while he's dressed to the nines... just as you will be at your wedding.
- It goes like this: "Honey. Come look at this picture of a guy in his kilt and PC jacket. I'm going to look just like him at our wedding. WAIT A MOMENT!! I CAN'T HAVE THAT!! He's already wearing my outfit!! That's entirely unacceptable!!! I guess I'll have to get a new kilt for our wedding!!"
Come on, gang, let's pull together for our dear friend K.O.G.! What tartan will you wear to your wedding? Everyone get ready to dig through your closets!
We're here for you, man!

I only have a girlfriend, and I'm already getting practice with this one (although, honestly, I spend more time saying "Yes Mrs. Woods. Of course, Mrs. Woods.")
But, fortunately, she doesn't especially care about fashion or clothing (well, perhaps a little; she is a woman [don't ask me how I know ]), so this probably wouldn't be a bone of contention.

Gee! It's great being single!
Well, father, I too want to be a priest; thankfully, I'm Eastern Orthodox, so I can get married. When the time comes around, I'll let my fiancé do the planning; my only demand is that there be a bagpiper involved somewhere .

Never, ever, say this again. Do not think it, do not read it again. It is like the f word, f_t. Any question with the f word, just have a coughing fit and leave the room. Focus on the coughing. Focus.

She said that! not me! lol
every things all good. now, she just has to pick a different dress, I dont care what dress she settles on, thats her thing, I just thought the whole situation was madness. After the initial freak out, she was laughing about it and stuff.
She knows me and the ex keep in touch, she doesn't care. Shes not totally irrational, just typical female irrational lol ( NO OFFENSE TENDED TO THE LADIES OF THE GROUP ) She knows were just friends and thats it. We never should have been anything other than friends, (its a long story that Im not going to get into in here) we figured out early on that we were meant to be best friends and not a couple so we went our separate ways. thats why we're still friends now. My fiancee knows all that and is fine with it. Really, the only issue was the dress. believe it or not, thats it. We're laughing about it now, and when she saw the pics, she made me email the ex and tell she was an idiot for not keeping in touch better. Its thats simple. I figured the group might get a bit of a laugh out of the story so I shared. Everthings all good. Were madly in love, all that mushy stuff. I know shes not after anyone else, and she knows Im not either. Its just that that dress coincidently was pretty close to the other.
As far as the kilt thing, Im wearing my clan tank, as is my brother, and hopefully my father . thats not open to debate, never was lol shes great with the kilt thing. She loves them. Infact I pointed out in the wedding pics, that the girl my ex married wasnt wearing a kilt, she was wearing trousers. So our wedding was going to be different anyways. And yes, you guys read that right, my ex-girlfriend married a girl. So, if my ex and my fiancee are to ever meet, and yes, I do think that will happen some point in the future, Im the one who should worry lol

Well, that changes the gravity of the situation all together!
Oh, and for your sake, I certainly hope your ex and your current fiance don't prove to have IDENTICAL tastes, or you really are doomed.
