Somehow missed this thread. Welcome aboard.
You've got 'the look' down.
Me, I take the SportKilt patches off, a cleaner look - just me. They come off easy with a seam ripper.
Best belt value I've found for a basic leather belt is from AmeriKilts...they have black and brown - though you may have to ask for brown.
Enjoy the FREEDOM!!

Cool look. Don't worry about tucking or untucking. Just do what feels best for you. Brown accessories will go great with your new best friend. One big problem, another guy with an invisible wife.

Welcome...I also just saw this thread.
Another belt option would be the wide leather utility belts from Home Depot or Sears. They look burly enough for a camo kilt. I usually use a tan 2" nylon chest wader belt with a black quick-release buckle on mine.

That's a fine looking Cammo kilt, MrClean, and I'll add my congratulations on getting your first - but, be aware, it will NOT be your last!!
A black T-shirt will look better than the brown and I agree: please tuck it in! A wider belt (don't know if you are wearing one in the photos) might help to hike the kilt up a bit, which would be an improvement - get that hem to the top of your knee for the best possible look. I am not aware of your location, but boots and scrunched down hose would look much better than sandals - unless you're going to the beach or live in a 'hot weather' area!
Take care,
Ham.

Oh gee, gonna disagree with Hamish, that's bad.
The kilt looks good, I'm not sure how far down the pleats are sown so my opinion may not be that solid. My experience with sportkilt is the waist blouses a bit and wearing the shirt untucked hides that and streamlines the look.
I would tuck in a tshirt with my other kilts.
