Hi there I am new here, I await my first kilt ever and it will be a UK Original.
In Levis I am a 38, but according to UK`s measuring instructions it turned out to be a 42/26 kilt. It currently somewhere over the Atlantic I suppose.
And while we are at it, I introcuce myself a bit more, my interest lies in British Army Land Rovers and for club meetings and rallies I thought a kilt would be nice. However the original British Army kilts are very dear and usually not available in above sizes. I was offered an original Gordon Highlanders army kilt but that was to small. And while I tried it on, I noticed that the wool kilt is a bit too traditional for me and it would be a shame to wear this in a greasy Land Rover. Therefore google came up with UK and I opted for their olive original. Since then I found markthescotsmen and here I am...
A Stillwater in an army tartan like Black Watch would have been an option as well, but I think they do not come in my length (> 26) at least when I looked at their website.

My UK original kilt arrived today, while it was delivered (14 days from Seattle to Germany) the mail man collected the German Custom Duty money as well, outch .
The kilt is awesome, fits perfect, slightly on the large side. I am very pleased with it. @ Galician thanks for the warm welcome to the Wahnsinn.
