Intense is a word I'd use to descibe it. I'm hoping CCK's IoS is not so intense.

I'll be completely honest and say that I'm glad this acrylic version is so far off.

That's quiet a kilt! Very bright, but I personally prefer dark tartans.

Actually, I need something bright, most of my kilts are rather 'quiet' colour-wise. The basic Kilt usually knocks their eyes out in any case; might as well go for the whole shebang.

Some tartans are intended to be bright. Some are not. Isle of Skye is not.

Just a guess, but it might also have to do with the fact that the guys in pakistan who are making these kilts are probably not very familiar with the tartans they attempting to imitate. It is not difficult to imagine that they could exaggerate the colors unintentionally.

As many have stated: it's no secret that the mass amounts of acrylic tartans all suffer from the over-saturated colorings. Matt mentioned that he can spot an acrylic kilt from a distance just by the coloring. I think that's a great point.

You know, I kind of like it. I just need some really bright aloha shirts (hmm… I might have one at home that would work), maybe some neon orange hose, and perhaps a Loud MacLeod tie…

Yes, there are definitely some possibilities here…

    Morning all
Just stopped off at the FC page and they are now showing IOS in one of their pix and below the pix is the tagline Isle of Skye Bright. OMG! I jumped back in my chair and had to shield my eyes.
