Depends on where in Scotland you are from. Some places add a few things in, other places take them out.
To be safe just shove everything from the following list on the table and people can eact what they want.
Black pudding.
Fruit pudding.
Lorne sausage.
Fried mushrooms.
Fried tomatoes.
Baked beans. (In tomato sauce.)
Fried egg.
Smoked kippers.
Fried mushrooms.
Fried bread.
Porage.
Spiced pork sausage.
Haggis.
Potato scones.
Streaky, thick bacon. (Not crispy.)
Dried porage.
Flapjacks. (Rolled oats mixed with honey and golden syrup them baked into a sort of cake slice.)

Just gotta be some OATMEAL!!
I remember well as a boy eating my first scones at a state fair or highland games or something. They were fluffy and soft and delicious with jelly and honey. These many years later I've yet to find soft scones...what I find called scones at coffee shops seem more like hardtack. If anyone knows where the soft fluffy scones are I'd sure appreciate it.
Thanks,
Ron

At our local fair (& Highland games) every year Ron, but I know that isn't going to help you any

Send me your address! mensplace@bellsouth.net
I have scone mixes that were rated the best in the U.S...as well as fine loose teas and tea accessories. With these scones you just add some heavy cream and bake. INCREDIBLE. Plus, you can't beat the price, ..for you only...gratis!

Just can't send to the entire forum. They are not on my website as they were from our local store.

I agree with all the above, with 2 exceptions. EVERY B&B I stayed at for 3 weeks served baked beans along with the rest; and, I don't ever remember getting mushrooms.
