Phil: you are correct, but in this case, we are not talking about the C of E. We are talking about the Scottish Episcopal Church, which is its proper name in Scotland.

Alright lads, let's try and remember the forum rules on religious discussions and hope that that puts an end to the comments about this church or that church, etc.

Where have you been all day? But I agree - I don't think there is anything in this thread that should involve religion.

I got to it as soon as I say the thread. Real life takes priority

I also agree, Glencoe is a beautiful area. I passed through in 1999 and really enjoyed it.

Seems to be counter to a number of forum rules. Mods inolved might have known.

At the Pleasanton games last year, the Campbell clan had schemed to march a cuffed and chained "Ronald McDonald" clown in the clan parade. Now if I'm not mistaken, I believe that one of the MacDonald chiefs had been attending the games, and was watching the parade. While this may have been an intentionally spiteful attempt at a joke by these particular Campbells, I don't believe that an entire clan, as a whole, can be bad. I've met a few Campbells at various games, and some of them were pretty decent people.

I know I'm not the first Henderson to pipe up in this thread about our clan, but I've always been frustrated by the fact that most historians exclude the presence of clan Henderson (MacKendrick) from the story of Glencoe.

I gotta admit that as a boy I struggled with my Grandfather Murdoch's contempt of things Campbell. The only Campbells I knew were a family up the street with seven girls - all very good looking and quite friendly.
