Hello from England...
I'll be in Belgium next week, don't think I can make it to Bruges though. Could have given you a bit of moral support. You should take Werewolves suggestion further re: beer but soup up the anti-kilties on a Talisker 10 or a Cragganmore 12. They'll all be wearing kilts by the end of the night!!

Welcome! My wife and I spent a few days in Bruges 7-8 years ago. We enjoyed our stay, and still love Belgian beer (and chocolate), but have since discovered kilts, and though I no longer wear them everyday (at least this summer), I'm still sorry to hear that Bruge is not a kilt-friendly city. Enjoy your kilts, and profit from this forum!

Welcome, from Inverness-shire. Went to Brugges, kilted, many years ago to a wedding. I was single at that time and I, well, er, um, had a great time!

Welcome from Eastern Washington State USA. Who needs to be Scottish to wear a kilt? Lots of men, other than Scots, wore them too. Maybe it's a little ancestral wisdom.

From NC, USA. Do you breathe? then that is reason enough to wear a kilt!

Welcome.
I've never been to Bruges, but I just saw the movie "In Bruges" this week. Looks like a wonderful place.
