I am going to have to say the Sherrifmuir. I am keeping in mind Phil's wise words here about the heat. Also as I understand it is not obligitory that one wear jacobite lace and cuffs with the Sherrifmuir which give some options. I might have gone for the Regulation doublet, but I can't say I am a fan of bowties.
Also I would like to bring quick attention to this doublet (or at least that is what the site calls it) http://www.highlandclans.co.uk/Appin_Kilt_Doublet.html

I would have to admit sir, that yours is one of my favorite doublets. Though the one listed on the website is the only one I have found so far and it would break the bank in my opinion.

I voted Sherrifmuir. I've never worn one but judging from the picture I think that I would be able to do the most with it. It appears to be one of the more comfortable of the choices as well.
But like I've said I've never worn one, so take what you will from that.
Second I really like the look of both the Regulation and Montrose doublets. But again I've never worn one so I can't say for sure.
...now that I've read that whole thing over I don't think I really gave much of an answer to what I'd prefer!

I voted for the regulation but would take a Kenmore as well. They both look more comfortable than the Montrose.
With that being said I actually HAVE a Kenmore. It's at home. In my kitchen.

With the water and ice through the door option.

Well, I personally like the Sherrifmuir the best. The Kenmore looks a lot like a piper's doublet, and those things are hot. I sweated through many t-shirts while piping in those things. And while I think Montrose doublets looks exceptional (que: McMurdo), they look equally as boiling. So Sherifmuir it is! It look classy and is open in the front for ventilation.

Assuming that I was kidnapped by my college mates, drugged beyond my will, re-dressed by nubile co-eds and forced to wear a jabot (and reminded that 'James Bond' wore one), I would hope to wake up in the Montrose or Kenmore. I like having the belt on the outside. As a matter of fact, I purchased a Canadian-style patrol tunic, which requires an exterior belt, instead of a piper's doublet for some of my military-styled piping gigs.
