I think the next time someone asks what my husband is wearing under his kilt in my presence, I'm just going to ask what their date wears under his/her trousers.

The "Kilt Check" is something that annoys me.
If I walked up to a strange woman and either asked what she was wearing under her skirt, or worse shoved my hand up there to see myself, I'd find myself in court, and on the sex offenders register very quickly.
However, If any of these things happen to me when wearing my kilt, It's just a big joke.
I'm tolerant of many things in this world, but double standards and hypocrisy are not one of them
..........She looked very disapointed and asked me if I was a restaurant employee. She apologized pretty confused when I said no..........
This ticks me off on 2 levels. It seems that she thought it was OK had you been a worker at the restaurant. As someone that works (part-time) in said business I take that as pretty insulting in itself. YES wait staff, chefs, line cooks, even the owners, etc. we ARE servants. But we are not slaves. Secondly YOU, my friend were offended regardless of whether you were an employee not. Who does this think she is? I would not expect you to put up with that from even Liz Windsor.
