'Kilt' Jackets

This photo of Mr. Brian Cox raises several questions: (1) Does he always wear mukluks with the kilt? (2) Why didn't he opt for trousers and have a decent tweed suit? (3) Was this taken on the balcony of the New Club?

I don't know him, but I believe it's in a calendar to raise money for a charity, called One city. I think the calendar is called 'Kilted Scots'

I just saw http://www.21stcenturykilts.com/ ; from the picture of the model with hair, it looks like they dressed Mr Cox for that shoot.

The length of the kilt is possibly also a factor in how the jacket looks. In both photos the kilt is relatively long to my eyes (personally I prefer my kilt to finish above the knee - so I'm biased), so the longer jacket doesn't look so bad. With a kilt finishing above the knee I think that it would accentuate the long appearance of the jacket & look much less of an outfit.
