Not really. Good ones are few and far between.

Quoting the Missus:
They look a bit like a codpiece to me. (is that a full mask sporran, or are you happy to see me?)
I can also see where they might get in the way of dancing.

From the soon-to-be-missus:
i don't like them. i don't want a creepy dead fox staring at me. so i'd strongly prefer you not do that
So, I guess I'll vote for her "YUCK". Another female friend of mine merely said she'd reserve the right to laugh hysterically at me if she ever saw me with a fox head coming out of my crotch, but I didn't see a "Ridiculous" option ;)

I have a badger full mask sporran, with the head 'mounted' ('stuffed', if you prefer). When I'm standing the head hangs down, so no one really sees the 'face' unless I lift the head to get into the pouch. I've gotten lots of compliments on it, and a few women who ask to pet it. ![Embarassed](http://www.xmarksthescot.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_redface.gif)
I have yet to have anyone express an adverse reaction (at least, they haven't said anything to me).
<No S/O, so no vote.>

I'm in the YUCK camp. I'm sorry but if it has a face, it had a life. If it is just the fur, it is a matter of keeping your bits warm. When I go to ren faire's I wear a white fox's tail, but the company I got it from buy's road kill an makes things from the road kill pelts. The money is returned to animal protection agencies.
To be honest I want to look at a guy's face not his crotch. And it was bad enough people wanting to pet my husband's shoulder griffin puppet, what would they do if he had an animal's face sticking out of his....
The rogue and I have ferrets. There is a reason we are sqeemish about seeing weasel and mink items. I would just see my cute little "pooh bear, smudge, Jilby, Wally and Zaphod" all 'looking' out of his sporan.. ::shutters:: Sorry no can do!

I'm in the "few and far between" camp. First full-face I saw in person was of the snarling bobcat variety, and it looked really odd. Especially when the fellow was seated. And I can understand the request for a cantled version -- designs where you have to hold the head up to access sporran contents seem very counter-intuitive.
My mother had, and very occasionally wore, one of those 1950's mink stoles made from 3 or 4 full bodies, complete with dangling paws. The jaw on one had been made into a spring clip closure, so it was basically biting the rear end of the next one, right there on your chest/shoulder. I think, and hope, that I still have it packed away somewhere. When/if it comes to light, if it's still viable, I plan to use it in trade with one of our resident sporran makers -- for a plain mink fur sporran for Bob, and the rest to be used with their other customers. I don't even want to know what they do with the spring-clip-jawed one ![Smile](http://www.xmarksthescot.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif)
Shantarra, sorry that my post directly follows yours! Just remember, these minks are at least 50 years old. . . and being recycled. . .

No worries. I prefer that vintage furs be vitalized/ reused.
One of my pet projects is carefully restitching together 60 year old vintage fox wrap. It wasn't taken very good care of but it is a priceless item to the theater. To teach my intern to sew leather's he hand repaired a vintage fox stole and put in a new lining. He now apreciates why old furs should be given new life.
