    Kilted on St Patty's?

Before, after, and while piping. Both Wednesday and for any occasion the preceeding weekend. We're pretty flexible about what days we celebrate holidays on here.

I hope to be in my new Ulster weathered, but that all depends on Barb Tewksbury and her travels and studies and professing and her other orders and . . .

Piperdbh is knitting a new pair of red hose to wear with it, and I got some new garters from the Tartan Museum Gift shop yesterday. I'll be ready.

Here in Conyers, we have the world's smallest parade, but it's reall a lot of fun. It's family oriented, anyone who shows up can be in the parade--you just get out in the street and walk along--and there are very few actual floats. The local pubs put bars on the street so you can enjoy a refreshing beverage as you see fit, eat, or just hang out. There's usually a piper, and, later, there's often a band paying in the street (weather permitting).

I'll probably invite the Great SEKS group in another thead, but since it's on Wednesday this year, it's not as well attended as it is on weekends. This is really just a fun, home town parade.

I'll be wearing my SWK Saffron. I was all dressed and ready to go last year when we got an urgent call that my (now) Father-in-law was being rushed to the hospital. No-one is allowed to get sick this year!

I will be going out that evening in my Stewart hunting, always a good color choice for the St. Patricks day celebrations.

Well, I'll be wearing the band kilt on March 13th for a gig in Monroe, MI. That's one of our shortest parades but longest concert appearance. Should be fun. Then I will be wearing the Irish National Kilt for a gig on St. Patrick's Day at a local bar here in Marine City, MI that's a follow up from last year. They asked me back again.

The ghost of Mr. O'Neil can deplore all he wants, as I will be kilted on St. Patrick's Day.

Since 3 out of 4 of my kilts have green in them I have choices. So I will be wearing green because of my Irish greatgrandfather and a kilt because of my Scottish greatgrandfather. Plus I like to wear my kilts.

Well St Patrick's is the third on my list in March after St David and St Piran!

But I will have a choice of my Irish National or my County Antrim.

    Decisions, decisions!
