I have four pair of solid hose. Does that make me assistant to a squire or something?

NO WAY!!! Just made a rough count and I have at least 80 pair of kilt hose!!! What for!!?? Maybe I can find a Navajo lady to connect them all into a few cozy sweaters...

I am not even going to bother counting when I get home , now, Ron. Uncle, Uncle---you win, I give.
I bow to your superior kilt hose collecting skills and can only hope to be worthy of your praise in my kilt hose choices someday.

Before we could call you the Hose King, or is that King Hoser? , we would need to know the kilt to hose ratio expressed as 1 (kilt): x (hose). Of course, we would need to have others K:H ratio also to make a determination.
But then again, you do have more than are in my kilt accessory drawer.

I keep mine in a Lane cedar chest.

This is a worthy suggestion. However, I think there should be some kind of point system:
soccer socks or other socks not originally intended for kilt wear: 1 point
ordinary self-coloured kilt hose 2 points
Arran knit/handmade self-coloured kilt hose 3 points
machine knit diced or tartan hose 3 points
tartan or diced hosetops 3 points
self-coloured hose with tartan or diced cuffs 3 points
bespoke handmade tartan or diced hose 4 points
castellated tartan or diced hose 5 points
My kilt:hose ratio 2:9
My hose points under the above system: 27 points

Pardon me for bluntly asking, but does the OC in your handle stand for "obsessive-compulsive", Richard? A point system for tallying kilt hose? Seems maybe a bit over the hose top.

Well, I officially have hose envy. My problem is getting hose in the correct colors. By correct I mean complementing and loud. I want people to hear them coming before I turn the corner. But, of course, not in bad taste. That's hard on me as I am "dressing myself" challenged.

Are you me, by any chance?
