You mentioned having just ordered, or perhaps hoping to soon order, a sporran and other accessories. You gotten them yet? I should interject that we have a policy here at xMarks of "No picture, Didn't happen". Now, I won't put you on the spot right away (Though the hazing will begin next week! ), but once you learn your way around the forum and get a feel for things, you ought to post a pic or two of your ensemble. You'll find lots of encouragement sprinkled with constructive advice from the members here. We're a tight-knit bunch, gentlemen all, who I believe you'll find most welcoming....
Kilt on!
Meeting you at the Target was the best thing that could happened then. I hope I got what you said to me at least somewhat correct.
I did get a leather sporran and some kilt hose. The jury is still out on how much I like them.
As to pictures: I noticed the "if there are no pics it did not happen" meme immediately. Generally speaking I hide whenever there is a camera present, unless I am behind it. I do have you as an eye-witness to the Target excursion

Glad I could be of service! Us kilties gotta stick together!
As for liking the accessories, give it some time. As you discover new and interesting ways of donning the kilt and it's various accoutrement, you'll be surprised what you find yourself liking. It's a brave new world out there!
I'm telling you, the Middle TN kilted rabble is growing stronger and stronger in number! A regular kilt night can't be too far off!
