I also could not find any descriptions of sporrans in the writings I cite in that thread, and kilts are not described as being tartan, though waistcoats and hose are described as tartan in the same descriptions.

That being said, I have accepted that Scotland is none of my business; this is just what I found in my meager past reading and personal research.
