I have read many, if not most, of your articles and learned just about everything I know concerning kilts/tartan from you. I often look at photos of you to decide if my kilted appearance meets the standard. I hold your opinion very high.

I had the pleasure of visiting Franklin, NC, and meeting Mr Newsome. Not only is it a beautiful drive, and a lovely town, but his shop is a kilt-lovers mecca. And, if you get Matt talking about tartan (which is easy to do), you'll see him light up with excitement. He truly enjoys his craft and delights in sharing his knowledge.

I can think of no one more deserving of this title. Congratulations Matt.
