I am extremely sorry for your loss. Please except my deepest sympathies.
You and your family are in my prayers and thoughts.
“I stand before this flag. The white Saltire of St Andrew in the blue summers’ sky.
It represents the soil from which I sprang, and to which, one day, I must return.
It represents Scotland.
As it was. As it is. As it always will be.”

Thanks everyone for the kind words and prayers. We held his funeral service today.
One thing I didn't mention was that he was a State Trooper. 18 years in law enforcement, 14 as a trooper. We were told later by observers/friends there were 50 police/service units in the escort leading the way to the church. We were also told that there was a line extending out the door, across the parking lot and halfway down the block (a 40 minute wait) during vistation yesterday and today.
Thanks again for the kind words and prayers. We'll need continued strength and support in the days/weeks ahead.
