I'd like to continue commissioning kilts in my family tartans. Future kilts will include: Smith Ancient knife pleat, Morrison Red knife pleat to the line, Dress MacMillan knife pleat, Marshall Ancient and I am about to start saving for: Fitzgerald Military (Baluch Regiment) in military box pleating to the line.

All heavyweight, 11 and a half yards like my Modern Hunting MacGregor.

Wow... there are some impressive lists here! All I can think of is how I want a couple more pair of hose, some new LONGER garter ties and a black baretha argyle jacket (with waistcoat). Perhaps, I'm staying too firmly in reality for this exercise, though...

I want for nothing of necessity. But I too have some dreams that may someday come true. First, I already have some raw materials in the hands of our dear Artificer that will one day, hopefully soon, become a pair of fabulous sporrans. Second, I have raw materials and barter goods in hand ready to be sent to our dear Bonnie Heather to be turned into a wonderful 8 yard hand sewn knife pleated Douglas Weathered kilt. Third I have five meters of lovely medium weight rusty brown houndstooth tweed material that will one day become a lovely argyll day jacket and waistcoat to complement several of my kilts.
Now the wish list consists of things that i desire but that I do not have and have not set into motion any effort to obtain. First, an ivory lightweight linen kilt jacket and waistcoat in a more contemporary style (no epaulets, gauntlet cuffs or argyll style pockets) with ivory buttons, to wear with the kilt for nice occasions where the temperature might be unseasonably warm for my regular wooly day tweeds-----like the Stone Mountain Games. Second, a nice handsewn kilt by Bonnie again this time in my own design variation on the Forrester Modern tartan, namely Forrester Dress, as available for viewing at Scotweb:
    http://www.scotweb.co.uk/tartan/Memb...term=Forrester

Third, a really nice hand carved cromach--not sure of the overall design but I will know the right one when I come across it. Fourth, a nice full mask bobcat sporran--mouth closed---or maybe a nice black wolf full mask. Fifth, another Bonnie Heather handsewn kilt, this time in custom woven 16 oz Forrester Hunting Reproduction colors woven by Dalgleish as can be seen at Scotweb. Sixth, a handmade bonnet by the infamous Ryan Ross in a lovely russet rusty brown, to go with my weathered and reproduction colored tartans, as well as my Braveheart movie tartan tank. I need the proper headwear to pull off my version of the infamous "Ryan Ross wants YOU! " pose properly. Seventh, my next chance to get back to Scotland so that i can play the Old Course at St Andrews kilted again and hopefully make a few of those missed birdie putts, and to meet up with my friend Jock Scot to share a wee dram or three of fine Talisker single malt and laugh at our differences while we enjoy each others company and our similarities.

Things I am very thankful for and that I cherish especially: First and second, my Forrester Hunting 16 oz handsewn tank and my Dutch Friendship Tartan 16 oz tank by Bonnie Heather. Third, my 16 oz custom woven handsewn Tartanweb tank in Ancient Red Douglas tartan. Fourth, my custom wolverine pelt Ferguson Britt sporran obtained secondhand from a fellow xmarker who needed to shed it because of financial difficulties---especially cherished because I know I am only renting it as I promised to sell it back to the original owner as soon as his financials stabilized, which could be any day. Fifth my heavyweight wool houndstooth black and grey tweed Inverness cloak from Twin Roses Design, although I do lament that I have fewer opportunities to wear it than I would like. Sixth, my handsewn Barb T tank in 16 oz Maple Leaf tartan by Fraser & Kirkbright. Seventh, the great friends i have made on this forum, both those i have had the opportunity to meet and share a drink or ameal with, and those whom i have never had the pleasure to look in the eye personally. And last but far from least, my lovely and tolerant wife who still hangs on my arm despite her wool allergies and general dislike of "men in skirts", and my Boy who enjoys wearing his kilts as much as I do when we both get the chance to do it together, something I hope he will never tire of.

Wish list? Okay, how about a modern, contemporary sporran with a carbon fiber cantle with a body of man-made material that I might wear to a WWF or ASPCA event.

This is a cool idea....or perhaps a stiff tweed sporran for day wear? hmmmm. Why the carbon fibre cantle? Is there an animal rights aversion to metal that I don't know about?

Carbon Fiber is a very cool looking, modern material. Has nothing to do with the animal rights thing, but if going with alternate materials for body why not go mod with the whole thing?

There is always just one more kilt you need to complete the collection (10 so far, mainly good quality), but then shortly after you get it the next one suggests itself.
I next fancy a Saffron kilt since I have no noticeable Scottish ancestry apart from my surname (Addy) but I am definitely half Irish!
