I have my kilt in the Kerr Modern (which I bought for myself at the insistence of my wife whom I lost to cancer five years ago) and is my first kilt. Every Father's Day, I carry a gold tone pocket watch with "The Greatest Dad" enameled on it that my children gave me. It may be a Wal-Mart special, but it means a lot to me. I also occasionally wear a kilt in the U.S. Army tartan in recognition of my years of service.

I have one. And please feel free to share this one with n00bs getting ready for their weddings, i am likely to miss the thread...

When I proposed, instead of "yes" or "no" my nwo wife said, 'Will you wear a kilt to the wedding?", I found X marks with google that very same night.

So I threw together a "wedding outfit" under some time pressure, and I made one mistake. What I did do was settle for a made in Asia very inexpensive sgian that appears in many of our wedding photos. What I should have done was found a worthy piece of wood, shaped it into a "sgian don't" for the wedding pictures, and then put a blade on the handle bit later after the wedding time crunch was passed.

Please do share my woe with anyone who may benefit from it. On the one hand it is great that this is my biggest regret of the the whole wedding thing, the bride is awesome, the step kids are awesome....

I have a Victorian kilt pin, which was a gift from my wife, and very much a surprise, which I wear on occasion:
