...I haven't worked out how to post photos here from Photobucket which aren't gignormous like my pew end from Zennor upthread. Any tips on how to scale them down....

I use pix-resizer from soft-tronic to batch process a folder of photos before I upload them. Flick through and turn them all the right way about and then use this freeware (costs nowt) software to rescale the pictures down to about 800 or 900 pixels long edge from their source folder into a destination subfolder (I usually create a folder called 'resized' within the same folder that holds the photos I'm working on) It's a four click operation to run the programme.

From folder > to folder > how big? > Go!

Once that's done, upload the smaller versions to wherever your online storage is (photobucket etc) and post into threads as normal.

What a great thread! I go away for a day and return to 3 pages of beautiful puctures. As if I didn't already want to visit, now my travel jones is in high gear!

I'm not a teckie, EB. Thanks everso for the info, but I thought there was a simply way, like typing =600 after the first brackets, or something.

Any rate I saw this plaque in London, at Blackheath on the wall of Greenwich Park. I must say I'd never heard of the Cornish rebellion before. (The text on the left is in Cornish.)

This is a great thread! The Robertson family have been very regular visitors to Cornwall for a great many years. The north Atlantic coast between Boscastle and Mawgan Porth is my favourite part of the county and I will dig out some photos to post. In the meantime - strawberry or raspberry jam on your scone

Here's the pub sign from the village of St Mabyn on the north side of Bodmin Moor. My granny's house was called "St Mabyn" and she had a cousin called Aunite Mabyn, who was a farmer's wife near St Austell. My mum used to spend summer holidays with Auntie Mabyn, when she (ie mum) was small.

This is an experiment. I've tried to reduce the size in Photobucket. This place could do with a "review" button before posting. Here goes.
