    I have more Questions.

    Can you gentlemen help me?
I have not bought my tickets yet to the Festival. Can I buy them now on-line? Will they be more expensive at the fairgrounds?
Where will the ticket booth be and how do I get to it off of South-bound I-35?
    What time does it start?
    Where do we park?
Are dogs allowed all the time or just at the Sunday dog-parade?
How much cash should I have on hand for my family of 5? Will vendors take credit/debit cards?
Do we stay all day and just eat at the vendors' tents?
What time does the festival close Saturday night?
I read in an earlier post that the Tartan dinner is Black Tie and Kilt only and starts at 8:00pm Saturday. We don't own such clothes at this time so I won't be able to attend the dinner. Am I correct?
I really do not know what to expect and do not want to miss anything. Saturday will be the only day my family and I can attend as it is a 7 hour drive for us.
I anxiously await any and all answers.

    I'll give it a try

Probably too late to buy on line.
Where will the ticket booth be and how do I get to it off of South-bound I-35?
Last two years the ticket booth was at the entrance. It will be at a different location this year but I doubt it will be difficult to find. Get off at the Salado exit and go under I-35 through the town. The crowds should help from there.
    What time does it start?
I believe 10 AM till dusk(?)
    Where do we park?
Where ever you can. This has been an issue for me the past two years.
Are dogs allowed all the time or just at the Sunday dog-parade?
    Don't know about this one.
How much cash should I have on hand for my family of 5? Will vendors take credit/debit cards?
How much you got? The vendors I've visited did take plastic.
Do we stay all day and just eat at the vendors' tents?
Food in the past has been somewhat limited on site but adequate depending upon your tastes. Hopefully there will be sone Scottish food this year.
What time does the festival close Saturday night?
    Dusk(?)

The dinner is formal - but I've been told a nice suit might work - however - I don't know if there are any tickets still available.

Hope this helps a little. Look forward to meeting you and the family - stop by the Clan Scott tent

I can find no place on their website that says the dinner is formal - but the site leaves a lot to be desired. It indicates that tickets for the dinner must be ordered by 13 Nov. (?)

Thanks John for answering me so quickly.

I just got off of a call to the Museum in Salado.
They said that the Festival opens at 9:00am. There will also be parking in the 1st Baptist parking lot. They offered it for the games.
The tickets will be the same cost at the gate. They only take cash or checks for the tickets.
They also said that last year for the Tartan Dinner that some folks came casual in jeans. They intended to let folks know that it is casual. Final day to get tickets to the Tartan Dinner is tomorrow.

A to the formality - that's is the response I was relayed from the clan coordinator. You might check at the museum for availability of tickets - I don't have a phone number.

Their phone number is (254) 947-5232. It is hard to get through to them.

    Texas formal

As to the dinner dress - THIS IS TEXAS The parking would be for Sat only (I guess since the church probably wants their parking for Sunday services.) Hope you get tickets to the dinner - I've never attended so it will be my first. As mentioned on this forum - dress at events go from one extreme to another. The most important thing is that you (and your family) enjoy the games

I assume the Calling of the Clans will be on the hill Friday night, right?
