There is a difference. The Wallace jackets I’ve seen have a 3-button front. The jackets from Kinloch-Anderson have a single button front, and I think that’s also true of photos I’ve seen of the King in a similar jacket. It looks more elegant to me.

It should be the "Tweed Jacket & Vest". There is an option to select "Crail" cuffs, which is described as "one button", and all other appointments are optional.

JPS, I'm not sure if you're saying that the jackets at K-A are "Wallace" jackets, or that there are "Wallace" jackets that are listed on other retailers' sites that have single-button closure as well as single button decoration on otherwise simple sleeves. If the former, can you provide me an example, because while I might be interested in purchasing another at some point, I'm not eager to pay K-A's prices, either.
Assuming that St. Kilda Kilts and Gaelic Themes are one and the same, I just surfed to St. Kilda Store, where the "Wallace" jacket has a 3 button chest closure and the possibility of a single button decorating each sleeve cuff, but the chest closure is 3 buttons, and I'm not aware of other retailers that offer the jacket that K-A sells (either made to measure or off the rack), with a one-button front.

If you navigate back to
https://stkildastore.com/store/Tweed...atterned-Tweed
you can run down the options and pick what appointments you prefer. Cuffs, pockets, however many button closure, etc... Whatever your little heart desires.
It's kinda buried at the bottom of the tweed jacket page, but it's there.

This is great, and I daresay exactly what I'm looking for. You're right, though, it's certainly not cheap -- I reckon I'll have to save up for awhile.
How's the fit? I see the only sizing selection offered is the chest measurement.

K-A's advertising is liberally laced with "By Appointment to HRM…" so I think that may be what you've seen in pictures of the King without epaulettes, fancy cuffed sleeves, or metal buttons on his jackets:
Later, I added a waistcoat. Although I probably wear an Argyll tweed jacket a bit more often, I'm very fond of this one as well.
I just checked USA Kilts's website and do not find a jacket this simple on offer from them, but I may be visiting them around "Tartan Day" in a few weeks, and I'll try to remember to ask if they ever offer something like it. On their website, the closest I can find is a Braemer jacket and waistcoat, but there's no delete option for either the metal buttons, epaulettes, OR fancy cuffs, and they say it's a stock rack item in the store. But, even with a waistcoat it's more than $200 less expensive than the jacket available at K-A.

Gaelic Themes 1 & 2 button kilt jackets, kinloch Anderson's jackets, & the King's
I was wrong about the images I've seen of King Charles in a simple jacket such as the one sought by user <pageone>.
I've inserted an image of him when he visited Lochcarron Mills in the fall of 2023. The jacket has 2 buttons, but bottom one is obviously decorative. Kinloch Anderson does offer jackets cut in the same fashion, but with only one button.

Separately, Dr. Miles Kerr-Peterson, from Gaelic Themes/St. Kilda Kilts, tells me that their "Wallace" jackets are cut with lapels that meet a bit higher on the chest, whether the jacket has 2 or 3 buttons, but that they also make a jacket with lapels shaped like those worn by HRM. They are less expensive than those sold by Kinloch Anderson.

Also of note, the superb McRostie sporran is shown to advantage in the picture..

But NOT on their website, which displays only 4 daywear leather sporrans.
Here in the colonies, I'll be visiting USA Kilts in about 2 weeks (along with my younger son, who thus far has avoided catching the Highlandswear dress virus). I'll be looking at their range of dress sporrans. What are the X-Marks members' opinions of something like this:

As you are asking, complimentary comments fail me I am afraid.

Full disclosure, I'm not Scottish. To me, that sporran looks like a fluffy dog's face.
But maybe it would help to let you know some more of my personal tastes, in case you disagree with my fashion sense.
I don't like fluffy sporrans, long hair sporrans, Prince Charlie jackets, or tuxedos. If you like those things, then you should probably disregard my view on that sporran.
(I don't care if other people wear those things, they're just not for me.)
