The Kirkton and Teviot ranges are worth a look.
These people were featured on TV---- BBC
"Countryfile" last Sunday(1/3/26) evening.

For those that don't understand the colour differences between one batch of tweed and another of the same name will find it useful. It shows how the wool used for weaving is made up of blend of colours that are not necessarily precisely the same as another weaving of the same cloth name. Its is the assorted subtle combination of colours within the wool thread used that gives the tweed a distinctive hue. So if you require a suit, for example, make sure the cloth comes from the same bolt.

Agreed! I've got a jacket/waistcoat in Kirkton 559 that I'm quite happy with.

A thought came to me as I donned my Harris Tweed argyll and waistcoat this morning and I thought, some of you might like to consider Harris Tweed as an option for your kilt attire. Very traditional, quite expensive, hard wearing and some wonderful, distinctive colours and patterns and a very different texture to other tweeds to choose from. Worth a thought?

I've a Harris Tweed sports coat that I love and they last forever without degrading at all. Stylish and respectable.
