    Thanks,
"dramatic' is an olde guy standing on sandstone "slick rock" on the lip of oblivion 1200 feet above the river steering a blimp with one hand and driving a camera with the other hand while peering through a viewfinder trying to remember which way NOT to step while focusing....

The bitty balloon was aloft today after a last Winter storm passed leaving SNOW in the mountains!

Here she flys over a green carpet of sand sage inhaling the most sensual odor of camphor after the rains.

Then she heads out East over the Rezlands

    Over towards Tower Butte

Then out to the Navajo Generating Station which burns coal brought in by electric train from the Black Mesa mines a hundered miles away. NGS generates about three times as much power as Glen Canyon Dam. That's Le'Chee' Rock in the background. Le'Chee' is the Navajo word for Red. So that's Red Rock.

The frisky Saltire turns to play with a raven, better known around here as "flying rats" or the "Navajo Air Force."

Then she heads off to dance through some hoodoos.

Back in town she stops at the museum to check out a replica of the Emma Dean - the boat John Wesley Powell rode down the Grand Canyon. This one is a replica Walt Disney made for the movie about Powell's journey - Ten Who Dared. Disney is currently in town filming a movie about Mars, taking advantage of our local Martian-like landscape.

Then the dimminutive dirigible heads over to the labrynth in town to get back in the zone.

Then she sails over to Community Behavioral Health Services to see if Riverkilt is there.....

Is all there? Focusing with one hand and holding a dirigible, while dancing on a cliffe. Really all there. Great pics.

Brilliant, the Saltire continues to travel in friendship.
Looking forward to viewing pics of Saltire's adventures in and around Westminster Colorado.

Holy Smokes! I'm off this forum for a few weeks... maybe months... and I come back on and figure I'll look at some of Riverkilt's great pictures and what's the next thing I see; the airship is here! Thanks, Ron, for sending it over the mountains.

Not only that, but I find out that Livingston has recently moved to just a few miles down the road from us. Cool!
