My shoes have officially kicked the bucket, my friends dog decided to have a nibble... and I am now short the top front portion of my left shoe...

Seeing as the mall just down the road has a Payless store, I beleive I'll be heading out in the near future.

Thanks for all the links, everyone!

Dont forget your neighborhood Army/Navy surplus store either. Most carry a wide variety of uniform boots in addition to the standard military fare. A pair of jungle boots looks great with a utilikilt or similar style.

I'm not a fan of the combat boot/army boot look. So many people my age have them, and are blatantly associated with one stereotype or another (be it goth, punk, emo, the list goes one, it just depends who you talk to), and frnakly, that's excatly what I'm trying to avoid. Plus they just don't appeal to me... but for some folks, they work great.

    Jewddha,

If you do head down to payless for some footwear, why not see if they have a two for one or similar promotion. Since you are getting a Freedom kilt, I would suggested http://www.payless.com/Catalog/Produ...Popularity=387with some kilt hose rolled down, and some thing like these http://www.payless.com/Catalog/Produ...&Popularity=21 for the dressier occasions when you want to look a little less casual.

Yeah, I've been looking at all the work boots, and I think it will end up coming down to what my store has in stock (my feet can be very picky, especially since my orthotics need to fit in). I hadn't even given a second thought to dress shoes ... that will be further down the road
