If you notice what looks like a faint shadow of a great big number on the top apron on your new wool kilt, the wool most likely came from one of those sheep the Sealy Mattress Company uses in their TV commercials.

After a wee bit of research I've found that Shay has one of her facts wrong. Wool is not dyed. Tartan comes from Tartan Sheep, found only in remote parts of the Highlands of Scotland. Here is the proof:
