A big welcome from over ND way! As someone has mentioned you're right near Stillwater Kilts and Jerry has some fine products available.
Bill
Yep, I haven't been there yet, but I will sometime. The Celtic Croft is also very close to here; next year I am going to rent the Prince Charlie outfit for Prom. The MN Scottish Highland games is coming up soon and a few friends and I are goin' to go to the games- mabye I'll see some of the MN kilt vendors.
We will be tryin' Haggis for the 1st time..should be fun!
I just gotta job for $10/Hr at a construction site...gotta run and get some money for some 16oz tartan, a sporran, kilt pin...and bike parts, ipod, brazilian jiu-jitsu gear and some other stuff
Read your threads on Bravehearts and glad that you joined us.
At first I thought that you were in Hawaii with your 'Aloha' salutation.
Now I read that you have a multi-national background and are in
Minnesota "Land of 10,000 taxes (I mean) lakes" and a neighbor.
I am in Bloomington city of the Mall of America and darn not one
Scottish entity in all of its 500+ stores. But that is not all bad we
have Jerry with Stillwater Kilts almost next door and a better bargain
you will not find anywhere in the kilt business. High Quality and the
best 'Bang for the Buck' bar none! With no taxes on clothing in this
state you can not go wrong with a SWK economy kilt. Why with all
the running around assembling pieces and parts to make a kilt and
then finding the time to sew it all together - SWK has what you need
right at hand for a most reasonable price. And you will pass muster at
any Scottish function. As for making a kilt or altering one Xmarks has
some of the best people to ask for help; Barb, author of "Art of Kilt
Making" and M. A. C. Newsome to name two.
So it is with great pleasure to welcome you to this Forum!

Aloha, another Minnesotan!
Once, at a job interview for the Minnesota State Fair someone thought I was Hawiian and said aloha to me...now I use aloha all the time! Hopefully I will be getting my Kiltmaking book soon to make a 16oz traditional kilt!
One day my friend and I need to go on a Scottish excursion...SWK and The Celtic Croft!
