Kind of hard though, Tartan Day is the day before on the 6th, so really it makes a lot of sense, even with the conflict.

I'll be in Alma on Saturday at least, with my wife and two sons - we'll all be in Robertson Red kilts.
And if the wife allows, I'll be in a black "got haggis" tshirt. haha

I'll be at Alma both days and the Friday before. Anyone going to the Ceilidh as well? I'm competing in the pipes & drums competition, band and solo. Ann Arbor Pipes & Drums. We usually set up our tents right behind the grandstand next to the train tracks. We wear royal stewart.

Yeah! Harp, Newcastle and Smitwick's as well! At least last year they did!
EDIT: It looks like it will be in the entertainment tent north of the recreation center on campus again! Colin Grant Adams, Chelsea House Orchestra, Hurry the Jug and Mother Grove are all scheduled to play. It's from 6-Midnight. There is a second ceilidh happening at the Alma Elks starting at 9, never been to that one. The one on campus is always a lot of fun though!
Here's a map!

Got home from work this morning and discovered my plans need to change, so regretably I will have to miss the rabble at Dragonmead. I look forward to seeing pics of all the fun I missed. Someone drink a Guinness for me.

Well the Duck and I made it safely back tro Stratford. A few car accidents on the way home, but I took it nice and easy.
I did a spur of the moment thing and left Stratford just after 6 and was at the pub just before 9 to be welcomed by a rabble of kilts. What a fun time.
Thanks guys and gals, I'm really pleased that I decided to join you.
Time for bed.
Cheers
Robert and the Duck

And yet another look at our motley bunch...

I had a fantastic time! And Gaisgeil, I was getting great vibes from the moment I walked in, I just felt compelled... what can I say, heheh.
I promise I won't be so distracted and duck out early the next time, and I'm bringing Tink with me. She's doing better, by the way, and may even come home tomorrow.
